As a result of the updated GUI update and when viewing a task; the previously listed custom plugin is no longer visible on the task. This was previously displayed in the task name and when the task is opened, in the top right of the task window.

Please can this information be displayed in the new GUI view?

Workaround - it is possible to revert to the old view via 'Systems settings > Feature flags > Task Details (redesigned UI) > Use new Task details version > TICK > Save'. The custom tasks plugins will now be visible.

  • David, thank you for the idea.

Replied via email with some screenshots of how we have planned it for the upcoming release. Looking for the feedback.

  • We will work on this item with the Design team and share some solutions/outcome in our Community site for feedback https://community.digital.ai/release-deploy.

Our internal considerations – we see that both task path (release and phase information) as well as task type, are both important to users. We want to come up with the layout that would satisfy both needs and would not look overcrowded at the same time. We plan to do several iterations and share in our Community portal for feedback.

  • Hey! This is a message from Digital.ai User Research team:

To explore possible solutions for this idea, we built a brief task-oriented survey: https://ows.io/cm/zh7q7py9
We would like to ask you to spend a few minutes to answer it. Your insights will greatly assist us in gauging user comprehension of the system and building a better product.

  • We have taken note of the feedback, and as a result, the Task Drawer header now displays the custom task type. This enhancement is available in the Early Access version 24.1 beta5 on the distribution side, which can be accessed at https://dist.xebialabs.com/customer/early-access/. We invite you to test it and provide us with your feedback.
