In ""user profile"", we should be able to choose what time zone the data would be displayed, i.e. I would like to be able to see UTC times instead of my local browser time

Currently all times are always displayed in the timezone of the browser/os.

Comments

  • Even just adding a timezone to every date and time shown would be a help.

  • Russell, thank you for sharing the idea.

Could you give us a use case at what the team is looking at during the joint calls where multiple different regions are present? Which particular pages or functionality teams primarily look at (like Release flow, Task details, etc.)?

Do you expect users switch the timezone before the meeting and switch it back afterwards?

  • We have a very global team. Generally, we work in GMT to avoid confusion with timezones and time changes. Being able to make sure that we're all entering the correct time/date for a scheduled release is essential.

To extend this request, every time displayed in the UI should indicate what the timezone offset being used is. This would ensure that if someone sends a screenshot with a time, it is clear what exactly that time is.

  • We do not want users to change their browser or computer timezone, but be able to set it specifically for the Release application.

  • Russell, I sent some email with follow up questions and would like to suggest having a short discovery call to discuss different scenarios.

It would be interesting to receive feedback from broader set of customers of how they are using this today across their organization.
