You can quickly send notes to the entire team using conversations, or you can quickly add all team members to a conversation about a particular story that everyone is involved in

  • Yes. And maybe this is mentioned elsewhere: to "opt-out" of a Conversation.

  • If the team name is mentioned in the conversation then all the team members of that team should receive email notification.
There should be a way to configure the conversations so that any conversation started by any of the team member is notified through email to all the team members of that scrum team by default.

  • I also vote for this. Currently every member of a team has to be mentioned manually, causing a lot of the conversations to be missed. As a result our teams have resorted to e-mail, which creates a host of other challenges.

  • Yes. I vote for this. If I mention my team in the conversation, every member of the team should get e-mail notification.

  • As a team member sometimes is easy to miss conversations when the only mention is to the team name. +1 vote!

  • It would be very beneficial to add a team to a conversation instead of listing all of the individuals of that team.

  • Yes, We have a large team and sometime it becomes really difficult to mention each and every member of wider team audience in the conversation area. Having this function in place would save the trouble of any important conversations being missed.

  • I would vote "YES" for this feature, as well.

  • Yes. This would be extremely useful for my team.

  • Very useful to keep the entire team in synch

  • Please, Please, Please! We have multiple teams working on 1 project and it isvery difficult to mention each and every member. Having this function in place would save the trouble of missing any 1 or 2 people on a given team.

  • This would be a major quality of life enhancement, as well as a productivity boost for end users.

  • This would be a huge improvement whether it was by Team name or by Member Group. Anything that would allow us to mention a group and have everyone notified.

  • We've worked around this shortcoming for now by utilizing email groups and adding the group as an unlicensed user. It isn't as effective as a distribution list, but it gets us past the blockage.

Interesting! How you have succeeded to add "unlicensed users" for this purpose?

  • Once an email group is set up in your email system, add a new Member and assign the email address to it. Don't fill out the password fields. All you need to do now is tag that Member in a Conversation and the standard notification will be sent to that address (and thus, all members on that email group).

  • One of our bright developers came up with a Javascript workaround in Chrome, by using an add-on called TamperMonkey to allow the easy inclusion of pre-defined groups into a Conversation with a single click. The change is very specific to our organisation so I can't share that, but the approach will work for others if you figure out how to do it in your environment. I voted for this change quite a while back so can't upvote it again, but in a tool that supports teams, integrating this into the tool should be a no-brainer.

  • It would be great if we can enter a Distribution Group (Email List) in Conversations so that the entire group gets the notification. Ideally, a tie-in with Outlook or at least Member Groups in VersionOne would be great.

At the very least, we should be given to manually enter an email address in the Conversation window.

  • Mentioning a Team name in a conversation (i.e., @teamname) or even @projectname (where it would send the conversation to everyone with permission to that project) would be very helpful and efficient for our users.

  • Yes, being able to easily include groups in conversations, instead of adding each individual name would helpful. I would prefer set up who is in the conversation group for the team since our Member Groups can include people who are not part of the development team.

  • +1 Vote for this idea. Business users are comfortable using emails, so this is definitely needed.

  • Tagging the same 5 people each time is tedious. I can tag a member group, but the members do not get email notification. At a minimum, I would be fine if a member group has an associated email that was a distribution list.
