Not all of my projects have the same focus of importance when reviewing requirements with the team. I have to customize my grid each time I switch projects depending on what columns matter most to a particular project or to the audience of that project. Example: Project A wants to include Description in the grid but for Project B only Title is enough and a lot more fields that Project A did not care about. We use the (editable inline) grid during prioritization and status reviews. Different project teams have different preferences on the columns and the order in which they should be displayed.

  • I agree! I would take it a step further and say that a user can save more than one set of customizations. Within a project I have the need to format/export items in more than one way. Additionally, I would want to be able to have my overall default customization OR assign one that I have defined to a project if I want. I just would hate to have to reconfigure and save these customizations each time there is a new project.

  • i agree with more than one set of customization per project. i like to view and export a project differently.

  • I agree with customization per project.

  • Customization per project would be great.

  • Its a good feature to have.

  • Awesome I will looking forward to it.

  • Fantastic idea.

  • Will be a nice feature to have, and I look forward to it.

  • This feature would be extremely useful. It is very time consuming to re-customize the backlog grid each time I switch to a different project.

  • this idea has been implemented. I think this idea can be marked completed. (My Views rocks!)

  • The My View and Saved View features allow you to configure grids and associate those configuration with specific planning levels / projects. You can then navigate and change the grid configuration in a single click.
