Support for Single Sign on for the Ideas Management, so that customers can login to our existing portal and create new ideas w/o having to go through another login.

  • I accidently flagged this as innapropriate

  • This would be very important for us to be able to make the integration into our customer portal website more seamless, or implement links to our IdeaSpace directly into our application.

  • we use Ideas for internal ideas, so allowing a Developer to use the same credentials to login to VersionOne for their tasks and to submit an Idea seems like a logical thing to have done in the first place. Currently everyone in our organization has to have 2 VersionOne user accounts... silly.

  • PLEASE make this single sign on. My developers are frustrated and it is a barrier to getting them to use the platform.

  • I do also find this as a hindrance since users that are already authenticated to one VersionOne product should have a "seamless" login experience whether Ultimate is hosted or on-site. Alternatively, if the user has not yet auth'd through Ultimate, but their account is setup via V1-ultimate-trust, there should be a mechanism for the Idea System to inform the user to sign-in via Ultimate 1st and provide them a link back to their instance of VersionOne-Ultimate. Idea System should be able to support a mix of VersionOne users that are trusted based on their V1 credentialing and business users that just sign in via e-mail.

  • We will be using this for outside clients to submit feature requests and collaborate. We need the SSO functionality in order to stop using UserVoice and start using IdeaSpace.

  • Very important for our business need.

  • This functionality would greatly streamline our processes.

  • Wow. Much ease. So smart. Very integrated.

  • Version One, any update on SSO? Seems like SAML and the like is pretty much standard these days and is a well known development pattern.

  • This is exactly what we need for our project.

  • Without single sign on, we would never direct our users to use the VersionOne ideas portal. We are absolutely against our users having to manage multiple logins in our products.

  • Please get SSO working for your support tools + the actual products.

  • When you have customers using Version One with SSO, who have it integrated into their workflow, and then you come out with a new offering, with no plans to integrate SSO, you put a roadblock in the way of using it. Even worse is the fact that to make this comment, I have to register yet another account. So I have three Version One IDs: my corporate SSO one, the one for using my company's idea space, and the one for using Version One's idea space. That's really a bit much.

  • SSO would have multiple benefits, chief among them integrated user management. It would probably enable us to build a custom login to collect additional information about users.

  • Not having separate logins for separate pieces of VersionOne seems like a minimally viable feature to me.

  • Clearly need this, no point managing the lifecycle of hundreds/thousands of client-related users twice (in V1 and our own apps)

  • We have many people employed in our company that are not in our product division and they need SSO to make it easier for them to register their requests for features, which we see in V1 and add to backlogs etc.

  • We'd actually prefer adding an authentication service or API to the Idea Management page so we could tie in our own, internal authentication systems. That would allow us to be able to offer this feature to customers in our own ecosystem. That way if a customer logged into our main company website, they could click a link to our Ideas Management page and be given immediate, seamless access. We could also better control access to the Idea Management page as well.
