When exporting to Excel from VersionOne, the format of the Excel file is HTML when it should instead be in an Excel file format. This causes unnecessary warnings when trying to open the file and saving workarounds when trying to save the file in Excel. When trying to open the file, Excel warns the user that the file format and extension of the file don't match and asks the user if they want to open the file anyway. When trying to save the file, the type of the file defaults to Web Page (*.htm, *.html), causing the user to have to change the type to an Excel file format. As a power user who exports to Excel several times each day, fixing the file format of the Excel file will save a lot of time currently spent on unnecessary clicks.
