If I have Tasks in a particular Story (opened or closed), I want to be able to Copy them, and place them in another (maybe new) Story.

  • This is already accomplishable through parenting the task to any other story. However, it is clunky.

  • How is this accomplished. Since it is clunky, I suspect it takes a few deliberate steps. Could you list them?

  • You select to copy the Task in the current User Story. Then you edit the newly created Task and update the Parent (magnifying glass), search for the target User Story and select, then Save. This process can only be done with one Test or Task at a time.

  • Yep, that's it. Edit your task, pick a new parent backlog item. It wouldn't work for new stories though, you'd need to create a target story prior to the change.
