Would like the ability to copy an Epic which would copy any child epics and stories beneath.

Comments

  • In our Performance testing, we continually use the same stories and tasks for different projects. It will be good to have a testing epic that we can reuse w/o having to recreate it again and again.

  • In each client implementations, we have the same stories and tasks that we would like to be copied from an existing epic vs. hand keying all the stories and tasks. Either a copy Epic function or an Epic Template feature would save significant time on manual entry.

  • We often have "standard" features (which are technically Epics) that we need to use for multiple Epics.

  • I agree!

  • We just came across this use case and would be a great addition.

  • I have very similar use cases that would be benefit from having the ability to copy an epic (and the stories and tasks contained in that epic).

  • Yes, Please! An Epic template would be a fantastic addition.

  • +1, we would like also as soon as possiable

  • At Nike, we need the ability to copy features (and their children stories). Sounds like this may be the same or a similar request.

  • where did this end up? Any response from Version One? I want this as well, would be extremely helpful.

  • I want to be able to copy an Epic and everything related to it for repeatable requirements. It would be nice to be able to perform a find/replace function also within EPIC and related items. Sometimes we do the same things over and over again the only difference is the "name".

  • The Copy action for Epics / Portfolio Items is available on the "Edit" menu from the Details page. This action is intentionally not available from the grid because copying a Portfolio Item also copies all of it's children. In the Winter 2020 release, we introduced a "Create From" option that allows you to create a new Portfolio Item without children from an existing Portfolio Item.
