As a system administrator, when I want to create a report in Analytics with a project selection option, I see all projects in the list. Searching through this list is often cumbersome because it is listed in the hierarchy order and not alphabetical (which I understand why this is). I would love to see a better project selection option similar to what we see in VersionOne at the left, where I can start typing and have results provided.

  • Agree, I consider this the "old" product selector, and with 1000 projects in my instance it is close to impossible to get to and select a specific project in the hierarchy. This terrible usability issue impacts all of my product owners, most of the time, and a significant problem.

  • Would even be nice to have a filter "show closed" to exclude projects that have been completed.

  • I really need to find a way to filter out closed items (projects, sprints, etc), as most of them are not relevant to the report and it takes a significant amount of time to figure out which one I need (especially since the drop down or select list is never wide enough). We have a few projects that you can only see the first three letters on and a couple start with the same three letters. Leads to confusion.

  • I would also like to see the closed projects/sprints filtered out by default in Dashboards, Analytic Grids and Custom Reports. We've been using VersionOne since 2009 and obviously noone will run reports on the projects, which were closed 5 years ago.

  • We would appreciate to have a larger window for project selector or to have a horizontal scroll bar.

  • To bring better continuity between the V1 app and Analytics it would make a lot of sense to offer the same filtering option for project tree selection (Show Closed Projects).

This concept should apply to any V1 asset that can be inactivated or closed.

  • During our original start-up we entered a variety of projects and Sprint Iteration data that was never used - and almost immediately deleted. The is NO DATA in these projects, yet they appear in the MI database as selectable.

There needs to be some kind of clean up process in your MI database to remove content from look-up lists if there are ZERO records for that data. It is something our DBAs would do if we had a local install, so I'd like to be able to have it done in the Cloud based install as well.

  • Inactive projects being included in the reporting functionality is creating a significant delay with trying to build fairly simple Analytic Grid reports. I would echo all of the above comments.

  • my concerns are in line with everyone else, we should be able to hide inactive projects from the selector. There are use cases for both scenarios so a setting to turn it on or off would be nice.
