We use a Customer Relationship Managment tool. Many people in our organization have access to that CRM tool. Some of the issues that are entered into our CRM tool get escalated to development to make a change. I have created a tool that will read the information out of the CRM tool and create a VersionOne backlog item or defect. While looking at synchronizing the two systems, my preference is that I know no changes are being made to the mapped fields in VersionOne. These are fields like Description, Owner, Priority, etc. These changes should be made in the CRM tool for these work items. So I would like to be able to somehow mark fields as read-only on a particular backlog item or defect. This is not a system wide setting obviously.
